Microsoft Word Add-In

This article describes how to install and connect to the Microsoft Word Add-in from Care Cloud. This optional Word Add-in enables you to create Document Print Templates and Mail Merge Templates.

Downloading the Microsoft Word Add-In

The current version of the Word Add-in is 6.4.9 as of May 2024 (v6.4.11). To download this version click on the zip file below:

Installing the Microsoft Word Add-In

To install the Word Add-in:

  1. Extract the zip file to a suitable location and open the folder.
  2. Double-click on setup.exe to initiate the install process.
  1. Click on the Install button.

The 'Microsoft Office Customization Installer' will begin to install the Add-in:

  1. Click the Close button to finish.

The Add-in is successfully installed.

Open Microsoft Word, and a Care Cloud tab is displayed in the ribbon. From here you can connect Word to Care Cloud.

Connecting from Microsoft Word

To connect to Care Cloud, do the following:

  1. In Microsoft Word, select the Care Cloud tab and click the Connect button.

The 'Connect to Care Cloud' dialog is displayed:

  1. Complete the fields (all fields are mandatory).
  • Url: https://#.advancedcarecloud.com.
    • Where # represents the unique part of your URL.
  • Username: This would be the username you use to log into Care Cloud.
  • Password: This would be the password you use to log into Care Cloud.
  1. Click the Connect or Sign in with SSO button.

You can now create Word documents which can be used as templates for mail merge letters and for printing forms.
