Booking Type Clash Actions

Mohammed Jamal Updated by Mohammed Jamal

Once a Booking Type is created, you can define Clash Actions to govern potential booking conflicts. These actions determine if a new booking can overlap with existing bookings for the same assigned Staff. These actions also establish criteria for preventing double-bookings.

  1. Select the Class Actions tab. The 'Booking Type Clash Actions' page is displayed:
  1. Select the row to open the Booking Type Class record.

For example, Booking (to external care activity) will display the 'Booking Type Class Action: Booking (to external care activity), Allow' page:

The Booking Type field will show the Name of the Booking Type the Clash Action is against. This cannot be changed. Similarly, the Booking Type Class is greyed out and contains one of six options.

To supersede the default Clash Actions (the Global value):

  1. Select This Booking and choose from one of 3 options:
  • Allow
  • Warn Only
  • Prevent
  1. Select the Save or Save and Close button on the toolbar.
