Move to New Employment Contract

As Staff move positions or change roles, you may want to be able to move their Availability, Schedule and Diary Bookings to the new contract. If you use the Recruitment features of the system, once an Employee is Fully Inducted, you are able to copy information from an existing contract to the new position using the process listed below.

  1. Open the existing Staff Employment Contract record in the usual way.
  2. Select the ellipses button on the toolbar.
  3. Select Move to New Contract. The 'Move to New Employment Contract' dialog is displayed:

  1. Complete the following fields, mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk *.

Field

Description

​Transition Date*

This is the new Start Date of the new contract and the End Date for the old contract.

Transition Time*

This is the new Start Time of the new contract and the End Time for the old contract.

Role*

​The role for the new contract

Type*

The type of employment contract

Description*

Description of the new contract and role.

Apprenticeship*

Is this a contract for an apprentice?

​Create Availability

​Create availability for the new contract based on the old contract.

Move Staff Review

If there are outstanding staff reviews you can choose to move them to the new contract.

​Move Diary Bookings

If there are any Diary Bookings that were assigned to the old contract do you want to move them?

Move Scheduled Bookings

If there are any Schedule Bookings that were assigned to the old contract do you want to move them?

  1. Select the Confirm button. The 'Success' dialog is displayed to confirm the process has been completed.

  1. Select the Close button.

You will then be able to open and update any information on the new contract.

Contracts in a "Suspended" status will not be able to be copied.
