Adding a Bed Contract Type

Each Bed can have one or many Bed Contract Type(s) and each Bed Contract Type(s) can have their own Start and End Dates (Date Periods).

If there is more than one Bed Contract Type(s) for a bed then the Date Period for these cannot overlap. Validation is in place to ensure a bed can only have one Bed Contract Type(s) at any one point in time.

Once a Sub Location, a Room, and a Bed has been created, Bed Contract Types can be added to the bed in the following way:

  1. Open the Sub Location record. The 'Sub Location' record page is displayed.
  2. Select the Rooms tab. The 'Rooms' sub-page is displayed.
  3. Open a Rooms record by selecting it from the list. The 'Room' record page is displayed.
  4. Select the Beds tab. The 'Beds' sub-page is displayed:
  1. Open the Beds record by selecting it from the list. The 'Bed' record page is displayed.
  2. Scroll down to the Commissioning section.
  1. Select the Create new record button on the toolbar. The 'Bed Contract Type: New' page is displayed.
  2. Complete the fields on the page, mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk *.

Field

Description

Bed

This will display the bed, room and sub location details.

Bed Contract Type*

Select the bed contract type. More records can be added to the Bed Contract Types Reference Data.

Date From*

Enter the date and time the bed contract type is valid from.

Date To*

Enter the date and time the bed contract type is valid to.

  1. Select the Save button on the toolbar.

The Bed Allocation tab will appear.
