Home Screens

Home Screens are configurable in Care Cloud. You can create a Home Screen comprised of tabs, each of which can display one or more System Dashboards or record Views. A Home Screen can then be allocated to multiple users as required.
Creating a New Home Screen
To add a new Home Screen:
- Navigate to Settings > Views & Dashboards > Home Screens.
The ‘Home Screens’ page is displayed:
- Click the Create new record (+) button on the toolbar.
The ‘Home Screen: New’ page is displayed:
- Enter a Name for the Home Screen.
- Set Valid For Export to Yes if you want the record to be included in data migration processes. By default, this option button is set to No.
- Select the Business Module in the usual way.
- Click the Save button on the toolbar.
- Click the Tabs tab to access the ‘Home Screen Tabs’ page.
You can now start adding the Tabs that will display the data in the Home Screen.
- Click the Create new record (+) button on the toolbar.
The ‘Home Screen Tab: New’ page is displayed:
Complete the fields on the page. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk *.
General Section
- Enter the Name of the Home Screen Tab.
- Select the Home Screen for which the tab is created. Defaults to parent Home Screen record and becomes read-only after initial save.
- Enter the Display Name that is shown for the tab on the Home Screen.
- Enter the Display Order value from 1 to 6 in which the tab is displayed on the Home Screen.
- The Visible option indicates if the tab is visible to users. At this stage you could save the record as No and come back and make it visible by setting the value to Yes.
- Select the Business Module in the usual way.
- The Valid For Export option indicates if the record is included in data migration processes.
- Select the Tab Type that is displayed on the Home Screen. The following options are available:
- Dashboard - All Dashboards
- Dashboard - Selected Dashboard
- Data View - All Views
- Data View - Selected View
- When Dashboard - Selected Dashboard is selected for Tab Type, a specific Dashboard field is displayed. Select the System Dashboard to display on the tab.
- When Data View – Selected View is selected for Tab Type, the following additional fields are displayed:
- Business Object: Select the Record Type.
- Data View: Select the View that is to be displayed in the tab.
- Click the Save and Return to Previous Page button on the toolbar.
Repeat the steps above for each tab that you want to add to the Home Screen.
You can now allocate your Home Screen to System Users.
Allocating Home Screens
To allocate a Home Screen to one or more users:
- Navigate to Settings > Security > System Users.
The ‘System Users’ page is displayed:
- Select the user or users to whom you wish to allocate the Home Screen.
- Click the Change Home Screen button on the toolbar.
The ‘Change Home Screen’ dialog is displayed:
- Select the relevant Home Screen using the checkbox. An example is shown above.
- Click the Save button.
